Lost Little Vampires in the Sun

It's 5:00 in the morning. I have class in less than eight hours. I've been completely consumed by a horrible work schedule that leaves me absolutely drained by the time I get home. I have almost no time to do anything I actually want. And yet I somehow find the time and energy to submit an entry to a contest that I had more than enough time to complete and yet chose to literally redesign everything hours before the deadline, which isn't something that's easy to do when you have to design the Shiny version as well.

What the hell is wrong with me?

Regardless, this is my entry to 's Regional Pokemon CONTEST'17. So before I collapse from complete exhaustion, let's move on to the facts and stats, shall we? Hello, darkness, my old friend . . .

??? - Alolan Gothita

Dex: Their once curious gazes have now become far more sinister. The reason is unknown, as they try to avoid both Trainers and Pokemon as much as possible and will viciously attack anyone that comes too close.

Dex: Strangely like human teenagers, they become increasingly aggressive towards Trainers and Pokemon, especially towards their parents. The bags under their eyes signify that they have been up all night watching the stars, though for what no-one can say for sure. What can be said however is that they will often recklessly attack hapless passerby for seemingly no apparent reason.

Dex: Due in part to the increase of their psychic abilities, they are able to constantly see the lifespan of everything around them. This fills them with such great horror and sadness that they willingly shun themselves away from Trainers and Pokemon alike in order to preserve their sanity. Alolan Gothitelle often do not sleep for many days on end because of such revelations and are thus incredibly aggressive from lack of sleep. Trainers are well advised to avoid them at any and all costs.

Habitat: All members of the Alolan Gothitelle line can only be found on Ula'ula Island and even then prefer places that are remote and far from civilization, such as abandoned buildings and ancient ruins; examples include the Ruins of Abundance and the Thrifty Megamart. There have also been rumors of them lurking around Po Town, which has put the local inhabitants - namely that of Team Skull - on high alert. Trainers are highly advised to give these places a wide berth if they can help it.

Evolutionary Notes: Most members of the Alolan Gothitelle line are the descendants of those whose Trainers brought over to Alola from their home region of Unova and were either consequentially released into an unfamiliar wilderness to fend for themselves or abandoned by their Trainers; a few of them have been reported to have actually lost their Trainer to Alola's scorching temperatures or its untamed jungles. Whatever the factor, these emotionally and mentally scarring moments are what triggered an evolutionary adaptation of the Dark typing, in addition to the fact that they prefer secluded places with limited sunlight.

The reason for their ill temperament can be traced to their increased psychic abilities. Where Unovan Gothitelle can predict the lifespan of their Trainer upon using the move Foresight, Alolan Gothitelle are constantly aware of the lifespans of all that are around them, be they Trainer, Pokemon, or even plants; so long as it can die, they can sense it. This has led to some incredibly scarring disorders where Alolan Gothorita and Gothitelle - Alolan Gothita seem to be immune, due to their underdeveloped psychic powers - have been unable to properly rest and openly attack anyone that gets too close in order to prevent themselves from reading the individual's lifespan. There have even been instances of these Pokemon either openly cutting themselves or commit suicide in order to relieve themselves of the near constant pain they're in.

So Trainers, if you're looking for an Alolan Pokemon to capture and train up as your own, it is strongly suggested that you give give these Pokemon a wide berth. If not for your safety, than for theirs.
